Time Travel

So the year is 1985 and everything is popping. Including my gum, my hair can not get any bigger. Though I did contemplate putting my finger in a socket to amp it up a little and keep it fresh. For now I got my chuck taylors on with a rocking mini skirt and band tee. The only thing we hear on the radio these days are the likes of Michael Jackson, The bangles and Blondie. I mean hello I only listen to pop, i'm not one of those metal heads that I see in the hallways at school. Like most high school students every one ditches school to go do drugs and its the 80's when drugs were in full swing since the 60's. My one friend all she wears is these stupid high heels and spandex pants I mean hello, its school not dance class. Walking down the hallways people don't look like clones I mean everyone is someone whether your popular or not. You can be the quietest student and make the loudest statement of them all with your outfit. Its not  about being noticed its about being with the times. I mean if you came in normal clothes you would probably be seen as weird. I mean in my closet I have rocking mini skirts and parachute pants. It just depends on the day to make a scene and getting ready takes longer than an hour a day but I mean hey when your in Rome right?

I found a fashion Photographer I liked

Why, because she did a full Alice in Wonderland photo spread in vogue a couple years back... I'm obsessed with Alice in Wonderland. Annie Leibovitz, I do approve somewhat of this spread except for the model. She makes the most unattractive and bratty faces though.

Norma Kamali 2012

Norma Kamali show stopping pieces from her runway for 2012. Her collection was nothing but retro done in bold stripes and polka dots or glimmering solids. Definately a show stopper for this season.
Very classic glamor, almost reminds me of what Keira Knightly wore to the pirates premier

I love this jacket

Very cute almost something from the 70's

Saloon Girl Bustle

Very modern meets chain mail

Jaw dropping 30's glamor dress

History of Costume project 1

Alexander McQueen 2011

Hieronymus Bosch Painting
Project on taking a century i.e. the 14th century take an inspiration and find it in society today.

Nanette Lepore

Show is streaming in 4 minutes, I will review afterwards.

Lee Won-jun...you are a genius

He finally made an mp3 player that looks like earrings. High schoolers you might want to invest instead of that noticeable ipod.

This is what we percieve when we here the word gothic

Long crazy colored hair and boots

Corsets and black hair and chockers

Hair extensions of crazy colors

Crazy corsets and latex

This is not Gothic per-say either. Yes it is but Gothic was once originally how you see your style and now all it is, is what you see here a stereotype another lost term for the name.

I'm sorry fashion world this is not gothic...

Something right out of Helena Boham Carters closet

Something a little pop punk

I would say more rock inspired

Just no

Hit or miss: Bizarre Wedding Dresses...adding flowers

Everyone's favorite project runway winner review

Christian Siriano is definately not my favorite this season. He seems to play it by the lines. He uses very white and gray with a hint of a deep orange and a hideous green color. Honestly for ready to wear its less than stellar. I can pick about three looks out of all of his clothes I liked this season.

Top 4 favorites of the Betsey Johnson spring ready to wear 2012

Spring 2012 ready to wear overview 1

Betsy Johnson: She is one of my favorites. If I had the money I would own everything she makes, especially in this season. Her clothes this season is more to the flow of the body and floral prints. It really comes down to the details to pull an amazing outfit together. She does a nice even mix of straight dresses to flowing dresses keeping them all relatively above the knee. It seems we have another season of floral print this year. As old as she may be she is one designer who knows how to stay young. I highly see a lolita influence into her clothes which just makes me want them more. Overall if you dare to white white or a pale cyan blue with floral mixed in her new line is the place to shop.

Betsy has also helped my theory that I had heard from my teachers. The neckline keeps moving down to accentuate the boobs. Everyone can either have them or buy them and ladies want to show them off. Their sick of covering up and being in a recession they want their girls to come out and have a good time.

Oh Alexander

Think its appropiate to show some of my work as a first post.
